Alternate Resolution

Does anyone know of a way to get GalCiv II to run with a 1024X600 resolution. I just purchased a Dell Mini laptop. It is so small and handy, my plan was to play GalCiv and time or place I wanted. When I launched it, I got a message saying 1024X768 was the lowest resolution GalCivII supported.

I was wondering if there is anyway around this or if there is any possibility GalCivII may be modified in the new feature to support these new laptops.

You can modify the setting in the prefs.ini file to 600px manually, but as the UI is not designed to scale that small, some things may not look right or go off screen.

although not practical you could try to use a "virtual desktop" with a bigger size (which would make you scroll around its surface)

then launch galciv2 in a window

not really practical though, and not even sure that works fine ^_^'
