Help a noob with a skin?

Okay, so I saw this skin and wondered if it would work for XP:

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=4617&libid=1

If it does, how would I install it?

Please try and respond in English - I am quite bad with these things.

Thanks in advance!

That is a windowblinds skin and is built for XP.

To apply it, you need the program windowblinds. You can get a free 30 day trial here: click here to download windowblinds

Welcome to Wincustomize.  First of all do you have the program WindowBlinds installed on your system?

WindowBlinds as a stand alone program is available from here in 3 different versions:  https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/downloads.asp   or you can get it as part of Object Desktop 2009 or Object Desktop Ultimate at the same web address.

I hope you find what you need, and if not please feel free to write back with any other questions.

Oh sweet, its working. Thanks guys :)

Random question, not sure if you guys have any idea about this, but I'm noticing noises that activate when closing or minimizing menus that were obviously added by the skin - is there a way to take them out or mute them? Thanks.

You can try the settin tab . . but you may have to delete the sounds from yoru hard drive.

Open WB configuration and go to the settings tab.You will see a box marked"play sounds defined by skins(if any)",simply uncheck it and reapply the skin.Enjoy your WindowBlind,but...... caution, skinning your computer is habit-forming.Have fun.

I recall reading that in WB6 there was a bug that might prevent that from working.

It may have been fixed.
