'This release of skinstudio 6 has detected an installation error'

When I install SkinStudio 6 Professional from Impulse, and start the program I recieve the following error message; 'This release of skinstudio 6 has detected an installation error'

I have run a uninstall SkinStudio 6 Professional and WindowsBlind 6 from Impulse, removed 'C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\SKS' and 'C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds' folders.

Then I run install SkinStudio 6 Professional and WindowsBlind 6 from Impulse, after that I get the same error message, when I run SkinStudio 6 Professional, WindowsBlind 6 runs fine.

I get the same problem! Good luck! I have been waiting for a fix for months. The people at StarDock have convinced me that they really don't care as long as they get your money. If you have a problem they throw you at this forum and no one here can fix this problem.

That error message means that key dlls cannot be located.

Did you alter the install directory for WindowBlinds, or alter the registry to move where WB stores the skin files?

Stardock support tries to deal with folks like they would like to be treated.  II can't imagine them not being able to give you satisfaction.  Do you have a case #?

This is the first time I have heard of your problem here at this forum.

1. Please explain your problem in more detail. Not what you think of Stardock support please...

2. If you want real help we need to know what it is you are really trying to do with the software.

Such as what are the specs for the system you are installing on. What firewall and anti-virus and/or anti-spyware programs you are using.

We will be glad to help you with your problem and for sure can get it working right for you.
