What is GalCiv II Endless Universe?

What is GalCiv II Endless Universe?

The text on the box is a bit convusing :-

"Endless Universe builds on the epic story, following on from Dark Avatar and Twilight of Arnor - two Expansion packs which have never before been released in European retail."

 

Is it Dark Avatar and Twilight of Arnor by themself in one box or put another way is it the Ultimate Edition minus the original Dread Lords content.

 

Or is it two expansion packs the "following on from Dark Avatar and Twilight of Arnor" so you need Endless Universe and Ultimate Edition to get all the GalCiv 2 content.

EU = DA + TA (+ DL campaign from DA or TA launchers)

UE = DL + DA + TA

So does that mean that basically the difference in the two is that with the UE (the one I have) I have the option of playing DL (sandbox or campaigns) with the original DL game engine.

 

"(+ DL campaign from DA or TA launchers)"  - I have noticed that in the UE you can only access the DL campaigns in either the DL or DA launcher,  they are not in the TA one.

Correct.

That's an artifact of support/registration/being able to update not being complete yet for EU/UE.  The capability to run DL/DA campaigns from the TA launcher was added in 2.0, as it was neglected before then.
