I have a similar issue with Explorer crashes and then restarting. Culprit always seems to wb64hlp.

I'm running a fresh 4 day old copy of Vista 64Bit Ultimate with SP1 and all current MS patches etc installed.

Intel Q6600 Quad Core
4 gb Corsair DDR2 ram
Nvidia 8600GT graphics
etc ect

Yes the problem goes away when I unload WB. I am running XP Pro / SP3

I have a ASUS M2n-SLI Deluxe with a Athlon 64 X Duel core / 4600+ / 2.41 GHz / 3.00 GB RAM / (2) EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT (Running in SLI mode) My monitor is a 42 inch flat panel Olivia TV that has a VGA port.

I have WB 6 and Skin Studio pro. It was a bundeled purchase.

I just changed my theme to Vista Alternative by Mr. Paul and some of the problems have stoped. Like the toolbar disapearing on right click. But Windows Explorer still closes when I click any of the bottons like "File" or "Help" . I haven't tested Internet Explorer 8 for any problems yet.

Just two weeks ago I got help from a tech level 3 from MS. I gave him remote control over my PC. After three hours he said that my PC was perfect and the problem was with my ISP. We were working on something different.

I don't have a diffinitive answer for you but rumor has it that the culprit could be SP3, others have reported problems and I believe there are other threads that address this???

:wc:   The culprit is nview. Disable nview.

I have been getting a few random explorer crashes lately as well. They had stopped completely for quite some time.

Vista Ultimate 32bit OS/AMD Athlon64 single core/2Gb Ram

I don't have nVeiw running and Windows error reporting indicates a problem caused by WindowBlinds. I suspect a MS update  conflict of some sort,as that is the only recent changes I've made.(other than a new ATI graphics card) I am running SP2 RC1 if that helps, but the crashes started prior to installing it or the ATI card.

If any additional data is needed I will be happy to provide it.

Ok I will try and turn off Nview to see what happens. I think somehow my message has been misunderstood. My PC doesn’t crash. The desktop disappears, including the toolbar. And in about 4 or 5 seconds it comes right back. The theme I am using is Vista_Alternative_WB by Mr. Paul. The same thing happened using the theme Bloss. I have written to the service people a couple of time about this and they just can not get a grip on the problem. So I put an icon of Task Manager in my Object Dock. (The biggest reason I right click the toolbar.) And if I need anything else (right click/toolbar) I'll just unload WB. I have Skin Studio Pro and I am slowly teaching myself how to make my own theme. Maybe I'll learn how to fix this problem along the way.

Sorry about taking so long to get back to you. This damn disability of mine slows me down from time to time.

Thank you to all my Paduwan.
