64 bit support?

Hi

I am thinkng of moving from 32-bit Vista to 64-bit Vista. I have checked out my favorite Stardock apps and I am concerned they are not 64-bit compatible.

CursorFX plus looks to be 32-bit only. Is this correct as it is a new Vista product I kinda expected it to support 64 bit.

ObjectDock plus. Also looks to be 32-bit only. As this is fairly old now when is the next version due and will it support 64-bit?

Many thanks

Hi

Many thanks for the list. It is comprehensive but does not include Object Dock.

I think there is also a typo for CursorFX, it says supported on Windows XP 32-bit. I am sure the main Stardick site states Vista 32-bit as well. My query is that since CursorFX is a new product why does it not support 64bit?

Thanks

I read your post and the answer to your question is yes. I have a 64 bit OS installed-Windows Vista Home Premium and have OD Plus and Cursor FX Plus and have had no conflicts. I also have 6 GB of ram which helps when running Impulse and all the programs that go with it. I kept my 32 bit OS on a different HDD so incase I do have problems with programs I can still use them. I checked it out on MS.Com and I read it is legal to do this. They have to be on different hard drives. If you have anymore ?'s on this you can ask me and I'll answer the best I can.

Please note that we develop with XP 32bit and Vista 32 and 64bit in mind. We no longer develop for XP 64bit OS installs. I just wanted to put that out for people looking for further clarification. Please let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks for the replies and reasurrance. I am planning getting CS4 soon so I will reinstall Vista first with 64-bit to make the most out of my 4GB RAM.

Currently running WindowBlinds, ObjectDock Plus (with working Start menu), CursorFX Plus, RightClick, Desktop X, Fences, and Deskscapes on Vista Ultimate x64. No conflicts.

ObjectDock used to have systray functionality on x64, but the most recent update blew it away. They say I can uninstall OD+ and reinstall to get it back, but I don't feel like going through the hassle.
