Xp64 slave issue

Hi I tested this on the trial with x64 and xp slave and it worked great.

I bought the pro version and I can not get it to work xith x64 as master and x64 as slave.

When I install the slave and test I get "Multiplicity winlogon dll is NOT running" and "Multiplicity winlogon dll has Failed testing".

I unstalled and reinstalled the slave first, the master first. used no settings, used only diff port, used only diff password and no luck.

I Tried this on 2 seperate systems and then on a fresh install of x64.

Xp pro has no issue, it test and connects perfect.

Thanks for looking and help would be appreciated.

Louis

I would install the MP 1.22 update as this may help with this issue.

I have updated and am having the same issues !

@Stardock

All was good while the trial version was running, now that you have my hard earnt money the programs shits itself completely !

Its obvious you don't have a fix for it and its criminal to charge AU$70.00 for something as dodgy as this!

By reading the forums, its obvious there is no sufficient help/support here, instead I have to provide you with certain system information to benifit yourselves in finding a universal fix !

I want my bloody money back, and would be glad to send this useless peice of software!

how to get 1.22 update?
End of Moropant's quote

The original link they provided me for v1.21 now points to v1.22.

I recently introduced a new secondary laptop to my configuration which uses Vista Business 64.  I initially installed Multiplicity v1.21 not knowing there was an update, and when I ran into problems, I updated all my installations to v1.22.  However, I'm still encountering the same problem the original posted mentioned above.  My configuration is as follows:

Primary box: Vista Home Ultimate

Left Secondary box: Win XP SP3 (works fine)

Right Secondary box: Vista Business x64 (doesn't work)

The Primary Vista Home box will see the Secondary Vista Business box within the configuration screen (it doesn't complain about not being able to find the other machine), but it doesn't actually ever make the connection to the Vista Business box.  When running the trouble shooting agent, the primary box says everything is working fine, but the secondary box running Vista Business is showing the "Multiplicity winlogon dll is NOT running" error.

Can anyone confirm a similar working configuration or suggest a possible configuration problem I might have overlooked?

P.S. My laptop is running a Norton firewall while my other boxes simply use the default windows one.  I believe I have it setup correctly though since the configuration on my primary box isn't complaining about not being able to find the secondary box in question.

Fixed thanks to some info Neil Banfield provided in another thread: he mentioned that if the DLL isn't running, it might be because my antivirus program (Norton in this case) prevented necessary writes to the registry.  I turned off Norton for a bit, reinstalled Multiplicity, and I was good to go.  I also double checked to make sure it was still working after I turned Norton back on and rebooted.  ;)
