Do minor races occupy planets or do they bring their own? As in, if I get a galaxy with no minor races, will the planets that they normally occupy should I choose minor races still exist (or atleast a planet with similar size)?

For example, the Dark Yor occupy a class 15 planet. Will the class 15 planet spawn if I turn 'minor races off', or does it come with the Dark Your?

 

Also, the scenarios for my version (ultimate edition) are very weird. I get a scenario called 'DreadLord Dominion' and 'Drengin Dominace' but I don't get 'Classic Galaxy', 'Dreadlords on Parade' and 'Drengin Domination', though they are present in the details toolbox

Can someone explain to me what they are, and how the differ to 'normal galaxy'?

IIRC, minors races come with their own planet, like any other major races (that come with their onw solar system). If you get the (mega ?) event "a new challenger..., heu, minor race has appeared", they will turn a PQ 0 planet into a PQ 15.

AFAIK minor race homesystems occupy a 'slot' in the same manner as major race systems. That is, were they not in the game there *would* be a star system there, but there's no way to know just what quality the planets would be (could be better, could be worse).
