Objectdock Plus Issues

Thought I'd post this here too in case I can get some help sooner.

I just bought OD+ after using the trial version for a couple of days. I liked its' potnetial and went for the paid version. During install it asked to uninstall the trial version and it did. Once up I adjusted the bottom dock to my liking and created a new one for the right side. I go into standby for the night and then this morning most of the icons will not function and give me a a cannont find path error, even on icons I didn't create like the email and internet icons. So I try the troubleshooting button in the general tab. I disable all docklets and restart. I have my docks on autohide. Once restarting they will not come out of autohide. I once was able to get one to stay shown but none of the icons responded to any clicking at all. The only way to fix this is to reboot. This happens every single time I unload/quit OD+ and restart it. This is very frustrating after spending so many hours trying to set it up the way I like and now most of it doesn't work! :( I've looked through the threads here and really haven't seen anything that relates to what I'm experiencing. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

 

Update:

I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling 2x (without deleteing the folders) and it's still the same. Will now try deleting every trace and see if it happens again.

If you haven't done so already, please email support@stardock.com and start a trouble ticket. They will be able to assist you.

You probably should have uninstalled this before ever trying to install the Plus version.  Suggest you heed Hankers suggestion and get in touch with support.  They should be able to give you some pointers on how to get rid of everything from the free version.

The trial version was uninstalled before the installation of the Plus version. I haven't emailed Stardock yet but finally figured it out on my own. It was my Firewall blocking things. Due to my reinstallation, I had a couple of entries of the OD+ and when I tried giving it all the permissions possible and it still failed it was due to me using the initial entry and not the latest working entry... a bit of a pain but all is now well. Thanks for the replies!

People have reported problems when upgrading to Plus and letting the plus version uninstall the free version.  Usually, support will suggest manually un-installing the free version by yourself, then installing the Plus version.  (For anyone else out there haveing issues)

 

Glad you got it all sorted out.  OD+ rocks does it not?
