Just Don't Know

Good Morning Everyone,
 
It is a cool morning, about 36 degrees, and I see beautiful magenta colors in the clouds over the mountains in the east.  Of course these colors change as the sun rises and adds more light.  Everything changes with light. When we are in the dark we are more afraid. When we are in the dark we believe rumors, hear whispers, and otherwise make large what might be small.  In the light a mouse is a mouse, not a ghost or large creepy thing. We see what is actually there and are not afraid.
 
Light offers truth: it is not a counter balance, but rather a fire that burns away falsehood. We must be careful not to be seduced by magenta clouds. Or the comforting warmth of falsehood.
 
The trouble is all sorts of colorholders believe they are the light that burns away falsehood. No one convinced by the dark believes they live in the dark. They want to share their darkness believing they are shedding light on the world.  
 
This darkness has a name, its called conviction.  We who are convinced, who are true believers, are colorholders of darkness.
 
The best spiritual traditions demand us to ever ask, "who am I?"  We should always ask, "what's this?"  And our answer should be "don't know!"

Actually I just deleted it....another one will be there soon. Don't worry. So i guess it is ok to be insulting behind someone's back instead of to the face. The truth of the matter was....I chose to agree to disagree. I thought Sodaiho or Avodah or whatever his name is would be proud of me...choosing peace instaed of pressing on in an argument that there would be no clear victor. I agree that I disagree with you. And you little whip,.....well.....you live up to your name.....but it is missing an "m"

While I understand your motives now, since you explained the deletion, I want to say that it is not exactly in good form.  People besides the authors of articles are involved in discussion.  There are often references given to websites, books, etc. in the context of those discussions.  To delete the article is to make all that work disappear.

 

No one was talking "behind your back". The article was not there to post to.

I created two blogsites so that I might post different types of articles, some mostly focused on Jewish themes (Avodah) and the other for Zen focused material.  I did not believe JU wouldl let me use the same ID on different sites and I could not figure out how to change my original site to be more inclusive.  I hope this clarifies the "whatever his name is" comment.  Oh, and BTW, Harvey Sodaiho Hilbert is my actual, realworld name.

I do hope you will continue to post.  Although I am somewhat sure we will take different positions it is through such dialogue that learning takes place. Winning or losing has no place in discussion.

Sodaiho, I must say something that I haven't yet stated. Perhaps it will give even more insight. I haven't slept in 5 days. My body is breaking down because of a lack of sleep. It is related to a medical condition that I will not discuss here. But many of the biting remarks that I have made are not me......it is more the "Yang" part of me, if you will. My nerves are raw. I like little whip.......she is a funny lady...but any attack has sent me spiraling. I apologize to you, to her, and to all that joined in. I have posted a new version that is a little more like me. I think. I also think I am going to go to the ER. lol.
