Logitech G5 horizontal scroll compatibility

Hey, I was wondering if there was a way to get Sins to recognize the left/right horizontal scroll button of the Logitech G5 mouse - particularly i would want to enable it to strafe in the map view, though using it to cycle through selections would be cool too.  Any way? I've tried getting it to recognize the button in hot-keys but that doesn't seem to work.

Perhaps i need to enable something on the logitech software end?  It works in the OS tho.

Thanks for any help!!

I have a G5 and have no problems.

In your set-point software go to "Mouse Game Settings" (chess piece)

Game detection > Enabled

Set Point implementation > Checked

Apply game settings > Checked

All game settings boxes > Checked

And you can go into "Advanced Game Settings" on the bottom and further enable things.

like I said, no problems over here

Hm. I have everything that you suggested checked and still no horizontal scroll ability.  I even tried manually adding Sins to the list of games in the "advanced game settings", but that seemed mess with my mouse resolution in the game for some reason, so I removed it.  Everything else works fine - I can double click, I can hold down the wheel to move the screen, I can assign a function to the extra button on the wheel, etc.

You sure you can horizontal scroll in the game? Did you manually assign that to a button?

I just verified that I can.

Hmmm!!!  Well I'm out of ideas.  Thanks for looking into that!

In assigning key functions, strafe left-right are assigned to left/right on keyboard but when I try to 'add' a button and then hit left or right on the mouse wheel, nothing happens.  It's like its not being detected.  *sigh*

I should say that it worked even right after I installed SoaSE, never messed around with anything.

Sorry I can't help more.
