Core Ship Design requirements for TOA

Does anybody know the specifics for obtaining specific core ship designs in Twilight of the Arnor? Considering that there are new and different technology trees in TOA, I would expect different requirements for obtaining ship designs like the Sledge Hammer, Avatar, and Star Dragon. Also I am asking this because I only seem to obtain ship designs that include the Battle Axe, the Phoenix, and the Dreadnought. Does the tech requirements for each ship also differ for each species?

Scoll down the template list.  There are two set of design for all combat ships.

Most of the core ships from before TotA aren't available as standalone designs to be unlocked.  What you can do now in the 2.0 update is design your very own milestone unlockable designs, through the ship designer on the main menu.  They will then be available whenever you have got all the pre-requisite technologies.

If you aren't up for designing your own ships (honestly, if you aren't that enthralled with the idea just grab a template and throw some weapons on it yourself) ToA has a new feature where the game will automatically design the ships for you (check the options menu). In general, you NEVER want to mess around with "core ship designs" because they are inherently and uniformly bad. They don't take advantage of your latest techs or miniaturization, and they usually don't look as awesome as the ones you throw together on your own.
