Mini Dump?

Hi there!

I started up a game of Sins a few days ago and was surprised when a message poped-up  after loading that said the save game did not match the verson of the game I was currently using. This was odd because I hadn't update Sins since the v1.096 patch. I hit ok and my game loaded anyway, so I continued to conqure the universe. :)

Today however, when I tried to load my game I got a message that says: MiniDump - Saved MiniDump: C:\Users\Trevor\AppData\Temp\SinsDump\Sins-v1.096-2008-11-05-16-03-36-2152-2204.dmp

If I hit ok, the the game crashes to the desktop.

Is this a known problem and if it is, is there a way to fix it? Thanks!

A minidump is not a crash in itself, its a record of what went wrong.  Send the file to support@ironcladgames.com with and they should be able to stop it happening again.

I've got the same problem too, but it only seems to happen on the larger maps. There's no trouble on small, and occasional trouble on medium sized maps

I am also having the same problem. It just started today after many trouble free games. I was trying to load a game I saved previously and it does the mini dump every time, even if I try a new game!!:(

Just tried to play the game again today using a smaller map and still have the same problem. For some reason the game just all of a sudden crashes after about 5 minutes of game play. I am stumped.

Same problem with v1.00.  Had a problem with impulse and ended up Uninstalling Impulse and SoSE v1.09 and when I re-installed v1.00 got the Mini Dump error about 30 seconds after startup.  Hit OK, computer locks up.

Sent copy of Mini Dump files and description to support but have not heard back yet.

Anybody else have any ideas?

Edit:the ideas for fixes from support assumed that I could get into the game after the lockup.  So I'll have to say no help there.  Uninstalled game and Impulse two more times and then it suddenly started working right.   I am off to play.
