After installing the latest fence's, and twiddling around with the visual preferences I find the following.

Outline

Their is no more 'Outline' on fences and their is poor, contrast from the 'Fence'Title bar, and 'Fences'window Body.

 

Let me explain this via a small graphic, their are three different graphics included within one.

the Left portion has Outline switched on, the middle portion is just with transparency turn up, and the right is with outline turned off.

Please not from the above that the 'MouseOver' Icon stick's out side the 'Fence' frame.

Contrast

Their should be some way of adjusting the contrast of text(label)"Folders" area compared with rest of the window.

Outages

If fences is switched off, then it will not switch on again, the only way I have found to reswitch it on, is to set it

as such, and then reboot the machine.

 Vista 32bit, Home Premium, unactivated, Vist experience index 5.2

Hi Stephen. Are you using DeskScapes and/or Windows DreamScene?

DeskScapes yes, basically I could be using, and am using anything

from Stardock, I paid for Object-desktop the unlimited package.

 

Seams to be a few minor problems with stardock apps, not working

together well, RightClick refuses to auto start.

I am away over the next day, going to reinstall Vista from scratch, and try again.

Reason Vista has a few quirks I wish to Iron out and only have two days left before activation.

Ok I have been playing with Fences PreDeskscape install

Not sure what I should see when enabling "Outline fence areas" but I still cant tell the difference.

Ah I have been playing with the visual settings and the outline

property, and find I can only see it if Brightness is 90% full on.

Thats better than not seeing it.
