ObjectDock goes blank after so many reboots

Here my issue I reboot my PC a week after I brought Objectdock plus 1.90 and now I have a blank dock on the bottom and my tab dock is gone! I have seen this on other people computers also that after so many reboots it deletes everything and a blank dock is sitting on  the bottom.

Is this a bug if not is this going to be fix in 2.0? This is wrost then the "on top" bug.

I've used ObjectDock Plus for over a year now and have not seen that problem.  There was a recent problem dealing with the System Tray not showing in ObjectDock which they are working on.

I'm going to suggest to you that you uninstall, run a clean up program like CCleaner, reboot and reinstall and see if that doesn't clear it up.

Do you have SDC or Impulse installed?  I would suggest that you use Impulse for the reinstall.

Are you running any other dock program?

I haven't run into it either, but I don't know maybe if it crashed or something...

You do know you can save your themes, right?  Config window, "Themes" 2nd from the top of the left panel, "Save Current Dock" button at the bottom of the right panel.  "Load previous dock" button right above that to re-load one you've saved.

If you had the free version installed before the Plus version, the free version does need to be uninstalled before installing the Plus.  If you didn't do that, uninstall it as well after uninstalling the Plus.

I just installed Impluse before this also. I however seen this before without Impluse installed.

Randall - since you and I both are looking at this right this minute I'll clarify for Philly-

I don't think he was saying he thought Impulse was related to your problem, he was suggesting that you re-download and re-install OD+ through Impulse as opposed to doing it through Stardock Central.

That's correct DaveRI.

At times it's hard to say what goes wrong, a bad download or update can do it, also you might want to think about running anit-virus  and anti-sypware scans if you haven't done it in a while.

Yes, some folks are having problems with Impulse but for most of us it works well and is a very good program.

Thanks I had no idea how to saved a theme/dock. I wasn't applying anything about Impluse just said objectdock messed up soon after I installed it.

That's fine, just wanted to be sure you were seeing "use Impulse to re-install it".  And being able to save themes will certainly help.  Do try the uninstalling and re-installing etc. though, it should not be dumping frequently like that.

The other thing I think of is that sometimes a docklet or docklets can cause problems, so if you have any of those in your docks you might try either removing them, or disabling them in "Configure Object Dock"/ "General" section in left pane / "Troubleshooting Options" button on right side / "Temporarily disable all dockets" checkbox at top.
