I suppose the correct answer would be "It'll ready when its done." But that takes the fun out of trying to get a time frame now doesn't it?

Admittedly I would like to know if we're anywhere close to getting 1.1 anytime soon.

Well, it'll be out before November 18th.. how's that :P The thing is they're trying to get Impulse ready to handle MP matchmaking for 1.1 by the looks of it, so that's probably what's holding it up.

When it's done (hey, it worked for Duke Nukem!).

Seriously though, it seems like the content is pretty much wrapped up so far, so like somebody else already said, it's probably the new MP client that's holding it up. I imagine we'll see it out sometime the week before Entrenchment is launched.

I haven't had any problems with impulse with my Vista 64 load yet.  Then I havn't tried to download from it either.  I have to comment, though, that making it have to handle stuff that, to my knowledge, was working just fine does nothing to heighten it's popularity.  I think multiplayer anything (excepting shooters) is pretty overated anyway.  I don't play videogames so I would have to deal with humans.  Now one of my favorite single-player games has a fat update being held up to make multiplayer work.

This will cure my rabid anti-socialness fo' sho'.

A major part of the game for a lot of people is multiplayer. It's nice to actually team up with people and get a break from the horrendous AI diplomacy system.

Ugh, this is what I hate about AoC, too.  Look, I'm an adult, I have a family of flesh-and-blood people, I have a full time job.  I don't have the time resources to spend an entire bloody weekend playing ten other folk in a sixty planet star system.  If you don't like the game's AI then you just adjust it in the game set-up.  What do you want them to do?  You want to be able to hold them over a barrel and say: "Gimme all your crystal or I'll bomb Aldeberan back to he information age! Nyah-ah-ah!"  You want dialog options like in the first two Fallout games?  C'mon, get serious.

I been hearing about all the new tweaks and stuff coming from 1.1 for like, months, now.  Where the heck is it?
