Empire Tree is gone

I have no empire tree. Please tell me how to turn it back on. I even checked in the key bindings menu for an on/off button. The game is REALLY hard to play when i have to manually check every planet.

Er, you can't turn it off. Did you uncheck "auto-pin planets" in the interface options?
