Descapes won't apply

I keep getting a error when i try to apply a deskscape background. It says: The Desktop WindowMangaer is not running, DeskScape requires the Desktop Window Manager (uxsms) service to be running to function.

Also, dmw is running and i tried typing in cmd 'net stop uxsms' then 'start uxsms' and nothing still happened.

From the screen shots, it looks like your not running the Aero theme.  Try enabling the Aero theme (I think it's called "Windows Vista" in the list of themes )

the two vista themes i have are: Windows Vista Standard, and Windows Vista Basic. I applied Windows Vista Standard and deskscapes still don't work.

You will have to take it up with Stardock support.

Make sure your graphics experience rating is above 2.0. I installed my nVidia driver but didn't update the experience score and it didn't work until it re-evaluated my machine.

the latest version on Impulse does the exact same thing for me,the previous version worked ok this one does not and oh yea,aero is on and I rerated my system...........

the latest deskscapes does work with XP but does not support AGP video cards. do not install if you have one..
