disease mega event bug // fleets

When disease megaevent occurs, all abilities including logistics are lost. So what happens to fleets? If you click on them, there are no ships. OK, I thought to myself, not to worry, after I cure the disease, my ships will come back.

 

That is where the bug comes in.

 

I have cured the disease and I still have 6 fleets that have no ships, i.e., "0/17" for logistics. I can't seem to get my ships back, although they are still present in the military power graph (i.e., my military power did not sink).

Have you tried disbanding the fleet?  That should give you individual ships, and then you can reform the fleet.

Yes, that's a good suggestion, and I did give the "disband fleet" a try but the ships still aren't there.

 

I can "find them" in two places: on the economy screen, I can decomission them (this is what I ended up doing and then just kept playing the game).

 

I can also find them on the list of ships/planets. If I "zoom" to the ship from that list, I am taken to an empty location (i.e., where the ship should be!). :(O

...and this was never fixed... maybe it was intentional for entire fleets to go missing... of course the implementation was poor.

Anyway, same thing happened to me. The fleets are in the list after the cure. Disbanding causes an empty place holder in the fleets list. The individual ships cannot be found in the list nor decommissioned. Saving and reloading clears the empty fleet from the list...

Well, time to rebuild my fleet.

I guess the crew all died of the disease.

Never seen this bug myself, but the one time I had the event, logistics was not one of the stats hit.
