Puzzled by Window Blinds

Hi,

I have just bought Windows Blinds 6.3 for Vista 64 bit. I find I cannot alter anything on the microsoft aero theme with the program. I tried the Dragon Skin which looks great but whenever I am using a window that contains options to adjust. The OK Cancel and Apply buttons all change to Apply and the other parts of the window corrupt. This does not happen on the the theme I have been using. I can adjust the outer windows border using the standard Personalise option but all the inner parts of the window stay blue. This is why I bought the program to change these and it doesn't seem to do that. So what is the purpose of it.???. I also got an email telling me to download Impulse. I only wanted to join the Forum.

it's not designed to replace Vista's 'personalize'

WindowBlinds options are for WindowBlind skins.

WB doesn't give options to change MS Stuff, it applies WB skins (like Dragon) and gives options to 'tweak' the look of WB skins that are applied.

Thanks for that info. If I use the Dragon skin however I get the errors with corrupted buttons. Is this my OS causing this because Vista 64bit seems to have problems with certain other programs. are there any similar Skins I can download which won't have these problems. I have only just got Vists so I am very new to this OS having had XP for years.

corrupted buttons everywhere or with certain programs?

screenshot might help (needs to be uploaded somewhere like photobucket, imageshack, etc)

if certain programs - some things don't like to be skinned

you can exlude those by accessing WB config > settings tab > change the look of a particular app > add per application setting

 

once you browse to the exe you will get options on exclusion ranging from partial to full

Thanks for the reply. It was one of the Windows Menu's The advanced display settings I think and several others in windows that needed an OK ,Cancel or Apply, Response.

Thanks I will try and get some out in the near future. I am trying to address some other problems on this new machine ATM relating to Codecs.
