I can buy Spore after-all. Since it's the game making me boycott EA, and Will Wright makes it, and Will Wright donates to McCain, I can agree with Will Wright's politics. Will Wright, ergo, deserves my cash as much as any other developer, and I will give money to Will Wright by buying Spore. Even if I can't run it. Meh. Make it for DS/360, and I'll buy it.

I thought it was slated to be made for DS?

Isn't Spore supposed to suck?  Or rather it didn't turn out like it was promised to.

Actually, walking into any game with high expectations is a pretty much failed proposition.  They never live up to the hype, but for what it is, Spore isn't horrible, it just is.

I dunno. I thought it was slated for DS too, Ock, but the Wikipedia page doesn't say anything. I could've checked more, I guess. I wonder if they'd make it for the PSP also, but that's probably just wishful thinking.

I've been curious about it. Maybe I'll pick it up when the price drops, but not right now, either way, since I'm strapped for cash.

I've never really expected that much of Spore, and Yahtzee's review (Zero Punctuation) totally decimated it, so I'm planning on waiting to buy it.

1) I won't buy Spore because of copy protection.

2) Will Wright makes Spore.

3) Will Wright donates to Geezer McOldPants.

4) I guess I'll let his stupid program rape my computer after all!

Your logic is impreccably stupid, Erath.

Buying a game because of the developer's politics is aligned with you is not a good way to go about things. If Brad Wardell was a democrat, would you not buy his games? I think he's a Republican, but I'm not sure.

<SARCASM> Clearly, people of differing political opinions should not interact in any way. In order to support my neo-tribalistic paradigms and whitewash society and to isolate myself from regular human society, I'll not purchase any products from those whom I disagree with, no matter the quality of their products, their moral outlook, and other qualities they have in common with me. Democrats and Republicans are not artificial constructs to express two generalized political perspectives , but a real and fundamental division in society, like two ethnic groups in a Balkanized state. </SARCASM>

I won't put it on my computer, did you not get that? I can't even RUN it on my computer. I'd buy it for DS or whatnot.

1. I'm conservative, I don't care for party lines. It's just that as a rule, Republicans are more conservative. He could be a registered Democrat, and it wouldn't affect my judgement, if he were conservative and didn't donate to that Obama kid. (Yes, I know EA's CEO donated to Obama, it's not that I boycott on politics, it's that I buy on politics)

2. Now you're just being rude.

personally, I think spore makes good on most of the things it set out to do. i've been really enjoying it since it came out, and even though some of the stages go by faster than I would have liked I'm still really enjoying the space stage!^_^

oh, and you guys can talk about copy-protection once you've installed fucking crysis warhead.#:(

You can use whatever system you want on determining how you'll waste money buying games. Your method is just incredibly partisan, and, might I say, weird.

I'd say both heh. Once you get over the creators, you realise the actual game part of it is very lacking.

Spore is an excellent casual game to just pick up play on occasion. If you're looking for something to suck up days of your time, then Spore probably isn't the way to go.

OP buys his games on a very silly metric system.

Game looks like crap, its protection system is crap, now the developer's political views confirm everything is consistent, I won't ever touch it even with a long fork and soft paper !! :cylon:
