Download ObjectDock Plus beta??

I've been trying to download the new ObjectDock Plus Beta because I was told in Stardock's forum that it solves the problems the Weather docklet was having, but I can't figure out how to do it.  I tried through Stardock Central, but it's not even listed.  Then I downloaded Impulse and tried thru that...but when I try to register ObjectDock Plus using the registration number I was emailed when I bought it, Impulse says there are no registrations for that program.  There has to be SOMEthing I'm not doing right, but can't figure out what.  If anyone has any ideas, I sure would love to hear them.

In impulse, make sure you have the right registration #.  You can have it email you your registrations by clicking on the Question mark in the upper right and selecting the first option.

I think it should be made clear that what is available on Impulse is NOT ObjectDock Plus. It is the Free version, ObjectDock.

I installed Impulse to find out what is in this "beta" version. Impulse shows I am running an "older" version of ObjectDock (1.90) and shows a newer version (1.90.037). I told it to update. It uninstalled my ObjectDock Plus and installed this "New" version. However, the new version is ObjectDock. I lost my "Plus" features. I had to uninstall ObjectDock and reinstall my ObjectDock Plus.

So be forwarned. They don't make it clear that ObjectDock Plus isn't what is offered in Impulse.

Oh, and installing stuff from Impulse is a major pain. It required me to reboot my system after Uninstalling ObjectDock Plus. It then made me reboot (AGAIN!!) after installing ObjectDock. When I discovered it wasn't Plus, I had to reboot (AGAIN!!!!1111!) to uninstall ObjectDock.

Fortunately the installer for ObjectDock Plus is smart enough not to require a reboot.

The engineers on Impulse seem to need a few lessons on friendly updates and installations.

Not sure what happened on your update wrecklass but, I use Object Dock Plus and Impulse and I have had no problems with any Impulse update that you describe.  Impulse installed the latest build of Object Dock Plus for me just fine.

Intriquing. Perhaps Impulse is just a random feature installer. You get whatever they decide they are serving at the time. In any event, it's not very useful. Hopefully Object Dock will continue to be a separate web download. I want to upgrade if they ever finish the next release.

My OD + was installed from Impulse and updated.. all + features work just fine.

Ok, so what IS the latest version of Object Dock? Perhaps the problem is that I am on the latest version and Impulse just doesn't realize it.

Version 1.90. I'm running build 537.  This shows as 1.91K[a].025 in Impulse here.

I'm showing the same as BigDogBigFeet.  Working fine for me on my XP system.

Mine is 1.90 build 535u. So clearly there is some update, but I guess since I can't find a way to get an update I will just kep plugging along with the build I have.

What is the expected release date of the next major version of ObjectDock?

Impulse shows my latest version of OD+ to be 1.90.033. How do I get the latest? I much prefer the old stardock central to Impulse.

the same happened for my the [k] beta had working systray in vista ultimate 64.

a few days ago the systray just stopped working.

i'd love if K could be posted again so i can fix this and archive it.

1.90.033 is the latest version of objectdock. I'm assuming they found some problem with the beta that warranted a removal of it from the servers. This implies something more serious than a mere systray issue though, and if it is, you're better off without it until it's resolved.

The beta is build 538 so if you have 537 you should be good.  Side note: I've never had any install issues with Impulse.  Works like a charm for me so far.  Knock-Knock

This is a registration issue more than anything jalyons (this was the guy with the original problem wasn't it?)

And if the information you're entering is valid but doesn't work for you, then it's time to contact support@stardock.com, they will look at your account and do what's necessary to get you up and running

This will clear matters up for you in a hurry

Best of luck!
