HELP! Game keeps freezing

My game keeps freezing after running for a couple minutes. Im running an Nvidia7900GS with 256MB, is this not compatible or possibly out-dated and need to get an updated driver?

Hey piratelord,

Actually, I have the same exact card :)  So, it's not a card problem.  I have two running in SLI, which I will say this card can run a little warm sometimes.  I take it you have proper ventilation and everything right?

Update the latest drivers, defrag, lots of things could be causing it.  If you start to see really weird colors, like hot pink, then your card is getting too warm.  Is your CPU meeting the minimum?  RAM?  Read the requirements and double check, but yeah, it's not a video card model issue.  Windows fully updated?  That could be an issue too.

See if any of those help.

The ventilation is fine,the colors are normal, and I meet or exceed the minimum, with full updates on windows. Im defrag right now, Ill let you know if that helps. Whats the easiest way to see if theres any updates for my drivers? Thanks for your help!

Well Ive double checked everything and did what you said, but its still not working. Still crashes a few minutes into the game. I have to completely reboot my PC everytime. I even got a beta version of a driver update for my alienware, but that doesnt seem to help either. Anyone have any ideas???

What os are you using, as there were some issues around vista at first, is your os right up to date try getting your drivers direct from nvidia, post your full system specs might have issues around mem/sound card. Stay with it someone on this site will help you find the answer

yep, did that yesterday and still freezes after its running for a couple minutes. even if i leave it on the main menu it will freeze after a few mins.

if anyone is wondering, i ran a diag check, its posted on my other post here in the technical problems section...I really dont think its anything with my PC, I think its something internal in the game, but I could be wrong

I uninstalled it again, and tried to play the demo, but the demo does the same thing as the game...
