I have just purchased and began playing TotA. Why are the other races building Galactic Wonders within the first 18 months of the game? I have even tried playing with only one race as a "FOOL" intelligence and they still build Galactic Wanders within 18 months. How is it the other races can build such things so fast? Is this a bug in the new game?
In TA, some of the race-specific buildings are galactic wonders, but they can be built with beginning technology. Most of these buildings have pretty low build costs as well, so they get built fairly quickly. This is not a bug, but a designed part of the game.
Also to note about race-specific wonders. Some aces start the game off with one or more available to them. If you play asa custom race with another race in the game that shares te same tech tree, the AI will always/ or nearly so, build it before you get the chance to see your planetary screen in the 1st round.
