GC2 on my laptop and home PC?

Greets...

I have a couple of questions. I own all 3 GC2 titles and currently have them installed on my home PC along with Impulse. I'd like to install them on my laptop as well so I can play when I have layover time on the road. I drive an interstate semi for a living and occasionally have "time to kill".

First question: Is it legal for me to install GC2 on both machines as long as I only use it on only one at a time?

Second question: My laptop doesn't have Internet connectivity so I can't install Impulse (nor do I wish to as it has limited HD resources). Is it possible to install my archived copies from my home PC to my laptop without resorting to Impulse?

Thanks for any feedback.

Yep, go right ahead.

Archives can't currently be installed without Impulse (it's something we'd like to do, though). The games *should* run if you just copy them over directly, though they'll probably complain about the lack of registry entries. You will need to delete the sig.bin files from the folders and manually reactivate, however.

I do this as well, and I must say I was very pleasantly surprised with how well GalCiv runs on my distinctly underpowered laptop (with integrated graphics)

Thx guys for the feedback. I'll give it a try and see how it goes... B)

[EDIT] Worked quite well. I simply 7-zipped the files, transferred them to my laptop, deleted the sig.bin files and re-applied my registration #s. Runs great on my Sony Vaio NR430E...

The only drawback is that I can't launch from a single screen and need to recreate the individual shortcut icons. No biggie... If I have some time, I may even figure out how to fix that too.
