ObjectDock (free version) Crashes

when minimizing e-mail apps

Hello I am running Windows Vista SP1 and have recently installed the free version of Objectdock as a trial.I must say before I start that I think it's a great program. That said, it crashes every time I minimize to the systen tray, any e-mail programs (Windows Live Mail, Outlook 2003). It makes no difference if they are on the dock or not. I removed both from dock and it still happens.

Can anyone help or have any ideas? Thanks skyzyk

Are you running any other dock or customizing software other than Stardock?

Have you downloaded and installed any docklets?

Go to start > run and then copy this into the command line:

%userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock

It will open a file folder. Delete the ObjectDock one. Be sure to save before doing all of this.

No I don't have any other customization software. The only docklet I installed is WiFi signal Strength and it's not on the bar. Eben this morning, everything worked fine until I minimized Windows Live Mail. I have 2 mail programs on the dock, Office Outlook 2003 and Windows Live Mail. If I delete the folder will Object dock create a new one? Should I delete the file or only it's contents? Sorry for the stupid questions but I guess I'm a novice at  this.

The only docklet I have installed is WiFi Signal strength and it is rarely on the dock.

skyzyk - Okay with regard to the docklet question probably not the source of the problem.

Do what Seabass said at this point.  To save you Dock Theme first just opend Object Dock click on Themes on Left side and then Save current dock. Give your Dock Theme a name and it is backed up.  Then follow Seabass's instructions to delete the Object Dock folder he mentioned.

Yes Object Dock will create a new folder. What I suggested to you will basicly whipe the settings like the Object Dock install was brand new. Should a setting get missplaced or corrupted it will clear the issue. With the exception of random docklets reapplying the theme won't hurt a thing.
