Key bindings do not stick

I like to use my mouse button 3+4 (which are page up and page down resepctively) for zoom in and out. I can easy set this in the Key Bindings and it works well.

However this binding does not carry through to other games, I have to redo these two bindings every time I start the game. I have not done any other bindings, just these and everything otherwise appears normal or typical. Ideas?

My apologies if I should have looked into something so obvious, I saw a thread about bug reporting somewhere and I'll report anything else that bugs me there...I'm new to Sins, still in the getting-to-know-you phase, thumbs up for the quick reply.
