Error when trying to buy skins - Stardock Support aren't helping

I get an error when I try buy Master Skins and Stardock Support doesn't seem to care.

I have been trying to buy Wraith and ecoLogical for over a week now and get varying errors before I can complete the transaction. I have mailed sales@stardock.com repeatedly, I even got this reply:

Hello,

I have forwarded your issues to our webteam so that they can look into it. One of them suggested trying to use a computer that's on an entirely different network. You may be using different computers, but if they are all going through the same router, you will still have trouble.

I have attached our mail order form if you would like to use that in the meantime.

that was over a week ago, I replied to it again yesterday and still no response.

I have used 2 different computer, 3 different browsers on each (IE, FF and Chrome) I have used a dsl connection through a router, a 3G modem on each (2 different modems with 2 different ISPs). I have cleareed the cookies, I have even cleared all private information, history, cache and yest I still cannot complete the transaction. Whenever I have cleared the cookies etc, I then restart the computer so there is no left over crap that could affect it.

My last succesful transaction was Harley Davidson Classic purchased from the MyColors site (still Stardock store) on 26 August 2008.

If I use the wincustomize site I get as far as putting in my credit card details before getting an error. If I start at store.stardock.com I get to process the transaction before getting an error. Also if I use store.stardock.com I get the option to pay via paypal (which if I select also gives me the error when processing the transaction) which I don't get when purchasing from the wincustomize site. I suspect this is more to do with discounts as I dont get the wincustomize discount when using the stardock site (Yes I even tried buying them at full price to try get them).

I have seen from the wraith thread someone else has also been having trouble trying to buy the blind.

Please help me sort this out, it is beyond frustrating.

PS I can use the card for purchasing from other sites and have tried 2 other debit/credit cards to complete the transaction without any luck.

Today is a month and I am still no closer to buying the skins and I see there is a great new one by JJ Ying, guess I won't be able to get that either. Still not a sound from Stardock support, not even a courtesy mail to say they are working on it.

The last response here is "I understand this is still being investigated." Hell, for all we know nothing is being done about this.

Well, I actually managed to pay for mine using Paypal, and then it didn't manage to redirect back to stardock in order to give me my download link, lol.

So I have a nice useless receipt from paypal, and nothing at all from Stardock. Seems like they got a lot of bugs to fix ATM.

Also says a 2 day wait time on Stardock sales email auto-responder.

Just to let you know you arent alone, Nyxmorph, exactly the same thing has happened to me today as well.  I spose I will log a problem with stardock eventually but probably just chalk it down to experience.

Nyxmorph, I've responded to your email.  Please know that 2 business days should generally be the most time you might wait for a response, but is not the minimum time.

It appears that there was a problem getting your order information back from PayPal to us, but I have corrected this, and you should now have access to your theme.

Well unfortunately i have just sent another one,as i also am unable to buy master skins.

It has only been a few days for me,but last skin i purchased was Wraith.

And i am from Australia

Hopefully this problem can be fixed soon,so i can buy the skins.

I wonder how the skin creators feel when people can't buy their skins and cost them money. Another thing that pi***s me off is that in the past month our currency has gone to s**t against the dollar so when Stardock finally get their shopping side of things working it will cost me a lot more to buy these skins.

Wouldn't mind hearing from the creators of these skins I have been trying to buy.

We published a new build of the store today to correct the problem that was being seen for purchases.  If you are wanting to purchase items and have been getting an error it should be fixed now.  Please give it a try now, and if you have any more problems please let us know.

I just made a successful purchase of 3 skins from a Swiss IP address. The appropriate discount was applied at check-out and the proper product codes are shown in my registration list.

This is meant for the times when Impulse is working, then you update, then you start having troubles. Impulse does not need to be reinstalled each time you update of course. However if you update and then get troubles it is often the first thing to try. Sorry if that was confusing. We don't often get questions about updates like that but more often than not some small packed gets corrupted when downloading and so on...

I just "successfully" renewed my WinCustomize subscription through the Stardock Store! Thank you for fixing the problem - it really was becoming very frustrating.
