WindowFX Message

Just got most everything running however I am new to Object Desktop.

When I try to apply changes in WindowFX I'm getting the error message "WFXLOAD - an unspported operation was attempted".  Anyone know what this means?

Thanks.

kind of unrelated , but windowsFX used to have a field to check for hiding desktop icons. which I checked . well, now I can't uncheck it and can't convince my desktop to show icons anymore....

related,...

have you allowed fx  in your security programs?

I know when I reinstalled I had to convince kaspersky that it wasn't evil. once I did that, all went well.

I can't find a WindowFX section, so I'm gonna poach this one.

Didn't WindowFX used to have a lighting feature where you could set it to have a light effect in different areas of the screen?

Is that no longer part of WindowFX?

It is not.  It was rather cool though, wasn't it?

I just recently started up FX myself and am getting the error, althought it seems to function though.. I have XP sp3 32bit.

Yeah i find i get the unsupported error but fx works ok,more annoying than anything. There's a thread from a few months back about this very issuse

Edit XP 32bit SP2  & SP3

Just tried it,seems to only do it when applying an action in the config window then it does what you want
