Black Desktop and them Computer Hard Locks

I just recently purchased Deskscapes and started running some of hte cool animated Dream Wallpapers.

But since installing the software there are times when my desktop goes black and the computer hard locks and I am forced to push the restart button.

This is a once or twice a day occurance.

I have since uninstalled Deskscapes and the problem goes away.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

My system specs:

Intel E8400

EVGA 680i Mother Board

4GB Mushkin PC8500 RAM (2x2GB)

2xGeforce 8800 GTS (640MB versions) Note – that I only run SLI when playing games and the Deskscape crash have occurred in non-SLI mode.

Creative X-FI Sound Card

750GB Hard Drive

Vista x64

Windows and all Drivers are up to date.

I'm having a similar issue. Running on Vista 32 SP1. My issue occurs after establishing a RDP session with the PC running an animated desktop. After I close down a remote session then go to the PC the screen is dark an appears to be locked up but then if I go to another PC and open a new RDP session I connect with no problems and the session works fine. Now if I reboot the PC while connected with remote desktop the PC reboots fine and Im back running normally.

I have established that this error only occurs while running DeskScapes. Just wondering if this is a globel issue or it's just me?

Running an ATI 3750 X2 with the latest drivers.

Well I submitted a support request 5 days ago and have not gotten a repsonse, so I have submitted a request for a full refund.

The tech support email said a reponse could take up to 48 hours for a response and I have waited for more than double that time with no reponse, so I think a full refund request is perfectly reasonable.

It seems, I have the same problem, when I set a deskscapes background to run, after a while computer freezes with black screen and only solution is to press reset button... Please let us know if you receive a solution from stardock support.

 

My graphic card is also a GF 8800 GTS 640mb
