WindowBlinds 6 + CursorFX problem

Cursor behind window frame/title

After my laptop wakes up from powersave mode, the CursorFX cursor passes BEHIND the WindowBlinds window frame and title bar.

This does oonly occur for WindowBlinds frames, e.g. not for a CMD window.

Also it only occurs after wake-up; after a fresh boot everything works fine.

Couple questions...

Do you have the most recent versions of both programs? I know CFX had this problem when it was first relelased.

Is it happening with ALL windowblinds? Is it happening with ALL cursor packages?

What OS?

Thanks for your reaction.

I use the most recent versions; I look weekly for upgrades using Impulse.

Specific versions: WindowBlinds 6.2 (build 61 x86) + CursorFX 2.01

I quickly tried different WB themes (9_3Vista, Abracadabra, Aero Metal and Eminence) and it occured in all of them.

I quickly tried another CFX theme, and after switching theme, the problem disappeared.

The OS is Windows XP SP2.

Was the theme written for CFX or CXP?

Good point! The themes I had the problem with were written for CursorXP. 8C

I will try a CursorFX theme to see if the problem occurs there as well.

Alas, it still occurs when using a CursorFX theme.

Can it be a driver issue?

My laptop has an NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M chipset. It runs in dual screen mode (laptop screen + external monitor with expanded desktop).

This is a bug in Windows XP which can happen when the screen resolution changes.  Resuming from standby can trigger the same problem.

It can be reproduced with any kind of semi transparency such as desktop gadgets, ObjectDock etc.

You may find changing resolution again causes the OS to fix itself.
