[BUG] Game Hanged After Clicking "Launch"

I went to launch a game and the game hanged at the "VS" screen for a good 5 or so minutes.  I tried to exit using the Esc key, window came up for confirmation...clicked yes...nothing happened.  Also, the feedback button was greyed out so I couldn't submit.

I don't know if PC specs are needed but...

Core 2 Duo E6420 @ 2.8GHz

2 GB DDR2 PC-6400 RAM

GeForce 8600 GTS graphics card.

Is this reproducible? I think I see a few lines that may have some useful info in there:

It looks like some very bad things happened to chat.lua

Try redownloading/reinstalling the game? By the looks of things, either one of the files somehow got removed or corrupted...

After the my 3rd...4th attempt the game has been playing somewhat smoothly.  Every now and then I'll see one of the demigods stuck at the health crystal...but other than there haven't been any other hicups.

I get the Fatal error message again after launch.

No reply?  arg.  This really sucks.  I just want to play the game.

i suspect it's your username, a 7900GS is more than adequate to run DG at reasonable resolutions.

 

pity renaming your windows account won't fix the name though, try making a new account and see if that helps.

It WORKS!!!!!!!

Thanks alot, all I had to do was change my windows account.  I would of never guessed that something like a windows account name could screw something up.

It needs to make a directory to drop the replays in, and it breaks if it hits non-ascii characters.
