Armistice a viable strategy?

I never really see anyone use Armistice? Does its work? If you use it tell me in what scenerio this would be good.

Armistice is really great when your fleet is getting pounded as it gives you a bit of time to get away.

Armistice does work. It prevents all ships (including yours) from attacking anything for its duration. Which makes it the perfect and a one of a kind ability that allows your fleet to retreat without worrying about stasis/jump interrupts/losing ships while aligning, so on so forth.

It can also be useful to stop planet bombardment if you just enter the grav well and need time to fly over to the enemy fleet - and it will give your planet a chance to regenerate some HP.

I see people use it to save their Akkans all the time.

Well if you have armistice, then hopefully you have lots of hoshikos by that point.

So you use armistice, and get 60 seconds of hull repair, while the other guy basically sits and watches.

Or you can use it to more effectively harrass your opponent. Kill stuff on undefended planets... the calvary shows up... wait for the last second and armistice... you just destroyed his crap without losing hardly any of your forces.

Does it work if you send in a lone Akkan and use Armistace on his forces, then send in a fleet to destroy them or does it wear off if they take damage?

Wait a sec, doesn't Armistice also disable abilities?

Armistice is da bomb, it's an ulti with range, so you can affect let's say all of his fleets but only half of the structures in the gravity well, so all you need to do is to sent in another fleet and destroy the unaffected structures for a good 30 to 60 seconds.

Plus it doesn't affect culture bonus right?  So that's 60 seconds of anti matter recharge for the TEC, if you are under your culture.

You can pretty much solo your Akkan into a system, embargo and bomb the planet, Armistice the coming fleet and sent in your main with Kol or just get away for nothing.  Armistice is a god power.

Akkan don't have embargo.
