ObjectDock Crashing issue when clicking on shortcut

Hi,

First off I love ObjectDock, its the best dock tool out there... but sadly all of a sudden
I have been having a crashing problem....

Let me explain...
When I drag something into the dock, and right click it to change the icon it tells me that its not responding and has to close....
I have totally uninstalled ObjectDock, and reinstalled, even removed all the files in appdata/local folder... nothng seems to fix it.. It does not crash when I right click on the Recycle bin or another docklet... just shortcuts to exe files...

I have had ObjectDock for about a month and haven't had any problems until about a 2 days ago...

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit....

It even crashes with the default dock and it sets up when I reset my dock to defaults....

Any help would be great..

Thank you

:D

Rich246 the only quick thing I can think of is what if anything new did you download 2days ago?

Also when you do an uninstall and reinstall it is always a good idea to run a program like CCleaner and a registry cleaner. If somehow the installing got messed up you want to make sure that all links are cleared. You didn't mention it but it also is alway good after you have clean up to reboot before reinstalling.

Another question, silly as it sounds, do the shortcuts work okay when you use them on the desktop?

What programs are the shortcuts for?

Thanks for the reply.... I did try all cleaning stuff after I uninstalled...

The shortcuts work fine on my desktop, Any shortcut of an exe doesn't work I could list them, but I think you get my drift... :P

I run ObjectDock Plus so not sure this applies to ObjectDock, but I have an option to create a shortcut in configuration under docklets. If that option is available try it and see what happens. If it works than drag and drop is some how broken.

When I dragged and dropped shortcuts from my desktop to a tabbed dock there were several I had to go back and fix the link to the .exe which somehow got messed up in the process.  ;)

Just tried that and it didn't work, I could change it that one time only, but once I clicked ok and tried to right click it, it crashed :(

Rich246 well I then think you should email support@stardock.com. I would also give them a link to the forum post.

Hmmm, just a thought since I don't run Vista, but you are running as admin, correct?
