Menu icon painting

WB 6.x (including recent 6.2) do have changed painting menu item icons. With 5.5, I did not have any problem. Since upgrading, many icons are not painted any longer, e.g. with TortoiseSVN context menu, Eclipse. Thus, I downgraded back to 5.5 which is running without problems. When will work again with 6.x??? Disappointing that things go worse for 3 releases. OS: XP

I believe I am having a similar problem, but only with certain skins and certain menus. The biggest problem I have is that certain Windowblinds skins will make the icons in Objectdock menus disappear, like from my Quick Launch menu. (I have the option checked to have it displayed as a normal menu, not the fly-out menu.) The names of the items themselves are there, there just aren't any icons. I have tried searching these forums for a clue as to how to fix this but the search feature here is very poor.

Oh, what wonderful luck.. I have found out what has been causing me so much grief.

This is what was being shown on my ObjectDock menus. I know that the lack of icons isn't a big deal but I use software like WindowBlinds and ObjectDock because I love to customize the tools I use throughout the day.

Anyway, the key to solving this problem, if it is also plaguing any of you, you need to have Skin Studio installed so you can edit the skin. If you want to be careful you should make a copy of whichever skin you plan on editing. Now, go to the Edit Controls section and then the Edit Menus and Menubars section, as illustrated thusly:

In the Background area, navigate to the Extra layer and Enable the Use Flat Menus option.

Apply the theme and now check your ObjectDock menus!
