No - quite often they ARE noobs. Below are reasons they quit
- Cap ship get blown up early in the game
- Enemy shows up before they are ready
- The planet they were after get colonised first
- Don't like their starting position
- They lose a single planet before their allies can assist them
Yes, good reasons. But you forgot one!!!
They get kicked out of games because other people assume that they don't know how to play.
Happens to me every time.
Seriously! I haven't been able to get into a game at all.
Heathens will be purged.
How do they get kicked out? I've hosted many games and have yet to see a kick button unless someone is lagging.
The OP was banned days ago you wont be getting replies from him.
Really - what is the reason for the banning???
This thread is just one example of why the OP got himself banned.
After reading this thead and the connecting ones. I hope peeps like this are few and far between. Even though I fear they are not.
Well this game goes for a long time and if your doomed from the start why would you sit around for another 2+ hours dieing a slow death and waisting allie's ships?
Mind you if never been online, just singleplayer games that last far to long.

You keep playing because it's a team game and you try to do what you can to help your team, even if you're losing. If you're losing then you try to be as big of a pain in the ass to kill off as possible, consuming the enemy's attention and fleet supply points. You also try to keep your capital ships and fleet from getting destroyed for nothing and have them join your allies' fleets and try to help them out or use them to hit your opponents in the back, annoying them and forcing them to bring back their fleets.
In contrast, if you're playing an FFA (free for all) then feel free to quit whenever your want.
Here's another example, the large random multistar map (4v4). Oftentimes three teammates will start out in one system with one opponent on it and vice-versa, meaning that there are two 3-on-1's. Unless the three are noobs, the guy facing the 3-on-1 is probably done for (though he might be able to move to the empty star system). However, that very same guy facing the 3-on-1 can win the game single-handedly by expanding in his starting system, fortifying his planets, not losing his fleet, being a pain-in-the-ass, and delaying the three guys in his system from conquering him. If he makes it take long enough then his three teammates will have finished off the one opponent in their system and will be ready to head over to the other system and victory.
The point is that it's a team game and just because one player on your team might be losing doesn't mean that the team will lose as a whole. One of the most memorable games I ever played was a 4v4 where started in a bad spot and I was reduced to a single ship--a mothership capital ship. I had a great time managing it and attacking enemy planets as part of ally's fleet and we won.
I agree - I almost got wiped out in a game by RA. I only had a few planets left, but my allies rallied and we got the guy pinned as while he had more ships, we had more FLEETS. By the end of the game I was back from a few planets to one of highest colonisers in the game. Since the game was 4v2 at that point, he couldn't handle 4 people with his ally doing things, such as running a fleet of about 100 flak (since he had insane amounts of fighters) through his worlds killing his infra. If he followed, someone else hit him, if he didn't, his stuff got blown up. They surrendered and we got the win. 1) It was fun, 2) I got a win, 3) the others ALSO got one (I would like to assume that me sticking around helped...)
Another thing some people don't realize is that if you surrender of quit early, your player is liable to end up having a huge amount of credits and/or resources that the team could have used if you had given them to the team. When I look at the end-of-game stats the person who finishes with the most credits available (or the most metal or crystal) is often someone who quit midway through the game.
