TOA Campaign Mission: Conflagration

Help with economy

I'm not doing so hot on that mission even though I am given 3 Arnorian battlecruisers, 2 Arnorian battleships, and 1 Arnorian Dreadnaught. Thats the thing, all 5 of those ships are slowing my economy WAY down and in almost all of the missions (except the previous mission where you have to befriend the Iconians) you can't stop your economic budget from going into negative defecit freefall and can only work against the clock to invade the specific planet required to win the mission. My question for all of you is this: "How do I win this mission with such a huge economic disability?" (especially since you are given only 10000bc to begin the mission) Where is the Dread Lord world on this Gigantic map that I am supossed to invade in order to capture the last telenanth shard to win this mission? Is it possible to stabilize your economy? Please help!

If I remember correctly, you start off on the far left of the map correct? The planet is way out in the right of the map.

The way I beat this was to totally ignore my home world in the way of improvements. I'd quick buy colony ships and 1 troop ship and send them bee-lining toward the location I eventually found to be the DL world. I had taken Creativity, Ship Speed and Range for racial abilities. I mainly focused on learning the life support techs while my ships were enroute. You may wish to just scrap a game to do some exploring to learn the route and the target planet.

The Colony ships are to increase your range. Others used constructors to do this mission, they give you more leeway on your route, but open you up quicker to loosing that 'waypoint'. Use the arnoian ships in a 'wedge formation' to escort the troop ship and colony/constructors to the planet. After you are done buying 3-4 colony/constructors you no longer really need money, so the economic drain is moot.

Note, write down the target planet's name. There is another planet in that sector or it's neighboring sector with a name nearly the same. I think there is an apostrophe misplaced.
