WindowBlinds trial errors?

Okay, I just downloaded the WindowBlinds trial version from the downloads section. I go to install from the downloaded exe file, and this is what I get:
"C"\Users\Axel\Desktop\WindowBlinds6_public.exe is not a valid Win32 application."
I've tried downloading and installing Impulse, but the setup can't connect to the internet to receive updates, so it never completes the install.
I had all of my security programs disabled to allow it, but there is still nothing working.
Can anyone help me fix this, or at least tell me why the trial does not work?
