Objectdock - Acer 6920

First off! Hello all.
I have been using objectdock for a while now on my XP desktop and on a Vista laptop without any problems only I have just bought a new Acer Aspire 6920 (Vista) and when I try to install it on that all goes well with the installation until I click on the shorcut and it tells me the program has stopped working.
I can install Rocketdock no problem.
Has anyone any ideas?
I have tried several installs from diferent locations, endless reboots but to no avail.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure but, did you try right clicking and selecting run as admin?

Base242, how did you sort it? How did you get it working on your acer? Is there anybody who has gotten objectdock working on an acer?

I'm sure it's the run as admin thing... I can't think of anything else it could be... uninstall it, and then run impulse as admin when you reinstall it, or if you install it from a seperate file, run that program as admin... I'm sure that will do it...

I was really hopeful with installing it using impulse as admin, but it didn't work. Thanks for the idea though, I didn't know about impulse. I am confident that this is not a problem related to "run as admin". It seems to be something only with acer 6920 and 8920.

Note the ticket number. Don't make multiple submissions cause that will just drop you to the bottom of the list. It's a 3-day weekend so expect a response by Friday or early next week.

I have also submitted a ticket now.

I have tried to reinstall it, install it as admin, and other kind of trix with no solution. The same problem all the time and that is "The program has stopped working" as soon as I start it. I will respond to this thread if I found a solution.

After some of my own investigation it seems like Acer eDataSecurity Management is the program to blame. Also some ZoneAlarm users are having problem with this. The problem is in the dll PSDProtect.dll_unloaded. The resolution should be to uninstall Acer eDataSecurity Management. But I´m investigating another way of solving this.
