questions on AI partners

hi, i mostly play custom maps and play either 3 on 3 or 2 on 2 but lately i have been playing with 3 teams of 2. i am the only live person the rest are AI.

when i set the AI to hard research is he normal in the the other areas or hard in all but specializing in that area?

is there a way to get resourses from your AI partner? often they will have something i need in great quanities.

can we transfer ships to each other and or planets?

also does the spread of my culture hurt their planets if they are close by? i have had AI partners just colonize 5-8 plants out of a potential of 20-25 in that star system and then start to do random attacks on our enemies. this has allowed the other team to come in and get a good based started in my AI partner's star system. if i take out the base and start to colonize there i don't want to hurt him by having my culture afftect His planets. it would be good to be able to cap the planets in His star system then give them to him if that is possible.

Only by killing them and taking their planets.

No on the ships. You can scuttle your planets and eventually the AI will take them. Won't do the same for you, though.

No. I think allies even get your culture bonus, but I'm not sure on that.

thanks for the info. what i was asking about in the transfer of resourses was cash, metal and crystal. i have given it to them when i had a lot and they are short. i don't see a way of requesting it from them. if there isn't a way it should be put into the new bata version. as well as a way to directly transfer planets to other team mates.

You can be sure about it now, because that is how it works :) Any friendly culture will raise allegiance and all the appropriate culture stuff. Doesn't have to be your own (or the AI's, in this case).

It was fun though in beta when allies' culture stole your planets. Okay, no, that part wasn't fun. It's when your culture flipped your allies' that was.  :LOL:

Post it somewhere. But this kind of thing has been suggested many times before the game was even released.
