First of all, many thanks for creating such a wonderfull programs. I've bought OD and run into confiusion. I'm interested in OD because of DX in the first place and I thought I'm getting the Pro version of DX with it. Later on I found out I just have the Standard version and found about it upon installing DX.

This confiusion arise from the OD website itself not mentioning which DX version I'm getting with. And then in Impulse does mention for example SkinStudio have either standard or pro. I think it should mention there instead of just DesktopX, written as DesktopX Standard. It's just disappointing not getting what you want.

Now, how can I upgrade this standard version to pro? how much is the cost?

basic difference between standard and pro is with pro you can export a standalone gadget

Thanks, but that the price for a complete Pro version. What I need to know is the price to upgrade to Pro since I already have the Standard that come with OD. It's going to be a waste if I need to buy another copy of DX.

it's been a year.. but I haven't heard of any change to it...


you might contact sales@stardock and ask

or you go go through the 'buy' and see if there is an upgrade option prior to actually closing the deal

I completely agreed with Bichur. Since they offered upgrade to OD with single product, they can just do the same otherwise.
