Description for the activation process

I purchased ObjectDock Plus yesterday directly from Stardock. Now I try to activate the product from my Laptop behind a Firewall and a Proxy server. It didn't activate properly up to now.
Is there a tutorial available that describes the steps I have to do to activate properly behind a proxy server?

Using Impulse to install and activate ObjectDock Plus you can click on the blue orb (top left) and select Preferences. Click on Connection and enter your proxy settings.  That should work.

Hi Hankers, thank you for the reply. I downloaded Impulse, but the installation failes with the following error box:

  1. Unable to download Installer files- Error IMPD01-300
  2. The impulse setup program is unable to download updated files from the internet to complete the installation process. Please check your Internet connection and firewall settings and retry setup. The Impulse installation will now exit.

Temporarily disable your firewall and a/v to install Impulse. You nay also want to send an email to support@stardock.com for assistance.

I already tried twice to activate the product via eMail to activate@stardock.com but no response up to now.
I also wrote a message to support@stardock.com and the response was to activate via eMail and a Link to edock.stardock.com

I don't like this stupid kind of software activation. I'm pretty sure this was the last product I purchased from stardock! :(

Disable your firewall/spyware blocker/antivirus during the installation/activation process then you can re-enable it as soon as you are done. The installation program uses scripts and they block the scripts from running.

No, when I purchase a piece of software, I do that to use it and not to tilt at windmills up to the activation of the product. I will have a look for a comparable piece of software.
