I am about to pull my hair out

I purchased windows fx because I really like the transitions. My machine info says I can run this program in full mode. An aside, when I download a skin from window blinds or a cursor from cursor fx, when I open the application, it opens with the right program. But not with this one!! When I open it I get usual'ly two files. One a ttt file,and the othere one named something else (I can't remember). I have moved the files manually to windows fx, but fx won't open the effect with the correct application.  I have had this program over 2 months and haven't been able to add one single transition! I wish I hadn't bought it now  but I have, and I don't feel like I have gotten my moneys worth. ls there anything else I can do to get use of the program? I am my wits end.
