Something about the factions

Has anybody else noticed how every faction seems to be strongly influenced by real political systems.

I mean, it's obvious. The tec are capitalists with their free trade, just look at their tech tree. Opening up new markets and such. The advent are obviously communists, with their unity and collectivism. And the Vasari are fascists, locking down whole worlds and controlling the populations and using propaganda.

It isn't a 100% percent but the resembles are very clear, am I wrong?

Not just SoaSE, many things look like that or similar. Such as SupCom's factions.

I think you're right, but this should be no surprise as I don't see those forms of gov't going away any time soon. They've been around for ages and will probably continue to be IMO. Good catch.

Don't you guys see? Computer games (especialy the violent kind) actualy INFLUENCE goverments to be that way.

Jack Thompson knows it to be true. Hitler, Stalin, Margret Thacher? They would NEVER have sucseeded if they didn't train on political simulators (like the Political machine) or world domination simulators (like.. well most stratergy games)!

Computer games are to blame for the world being so violent, and the world being violent caused computer games to be invented. It all makes SENSE now!

Seriosuly though, I try to represent certain political 'views' or 'actions' in my story telling (the crappy mods I try to make).

Makes sense,

UEF - TEC

Cybran - Vasari

Aeon - Advent

What about the Seraphim? They Look and act Like the Vasari...

*This is merely a Joke and in no way is a Political statement*

Well, it's not the same for supcom I think. The capitalism/communism isn't that obvious in it. But UEF (blue) does sound a resemblence and Cybran (red, doh) are rebels. Aeon don't fit the picture, they're just fanatics.

But if you take c&c games, it's always been there.

Aeon are lesbian men haters. At least thats the impression I got from their transmissions... and the way they apply thier makeup.
