Jsut a thought before the FINAL_PATCH_DAY(?) starts... HOP HOP HOP! lets have the Ptach up for d/l before I need to go shave and hop in the car for work!!!

 :D Can't wait to see the Beta in action :D

(All mistakes in spelling and grammar are unintentional, and will be dealt with in the betta version of this post. The betta, will launch at precisely mid-during-afternoon-night-or-so-when-Beta 1.1-is-out-hopefully) :HOT:

Once we figure out what "Mid July" was code for we will know more. One crypto algorithm outputs Christmas (Late December) if that helps. The other code breaker seems to think it means actual date minus two months. Which would be Mid September.

Why is it that the beta was never released? It says you can get it off of impulse, but I've tried everything (including clicking the option to have impulse show me pre-release software), and haven't found anything.

Oops, I misunderstood. I thought the finished version was due in mid-July. :p

Why didn't they just release all these changes in small bite-sized chunks to keep us occupied, rather than waiting to release everything in one giant patch?

Yah, but it seems like it would have been less of a hassle to just send us a bunch of smaller patches rather than make us wait. Oh well, time for me to join in on the waiting game...

It doesn't quite work like that :p All the patch changes are basically integrated into the code base as it develops, they can't really take chunks of it and hand it out, it's all or nothing :p

Besides, I have a hunch the actual patch beta is pretty much ready, but setting up Impulse to act properly for it is a new thing and I'm willing to bet that's what's causing the delay. Once that system is finally in place, though, future "beta" and patch releases on Impulse will be smoother.

Don't forget, this patch is supposed to be the first one that requires Impulse to get, so there's probably some additional tie-in for Sins and Impulse that the two companies have to work out :p
