I Demand Quality Display Drivers

What is it about display drivers that cause so many problems? I can’t remember ever having a major problem with any other hardware driver except video. Are they really that much more complicated than a chip set or sound card driver to get right. Most all of all my BSOD, hard lockups and general crashes I've had were caused by display drivers.

Is there a petition I can sign demanding quality display drivers for the masses? Tech support has got to be killing companies like Nvidia and ATI, you would think it would be a high priority for them to keep the bugs out. I know they make an effort and I know a chunk of blame goes to MS, but it just seems like these problem have become the "cost of doing business" for them. The computing stress levels alone this BS causes is taking away years of human life and causing butloads of unnecessary suffering. Something has to be done
