Vasari Fleet Compositions

I have been trying out the Vasari, and while I like their mining based economy and their technology (especialy the phase gates), I have trouble constructing a good fleet with them.

I have been building fleets made up of mostly Assailants and the Vasari Carrier ships, with phase missiles maxed out. This is then supported by other ships (like Heavy Cruisers or Flak, depending on what my enemy has). This fleet seems to work fairly well, but it doesn't seem as commanding of the battlefield as the Advent fleets that I am used to working with.  So here are my questions:

1) What are the general 'workhorse' units for the Vasari? (for example, TEC players build lots of Kodiaks, Advent build many Illuminators)

2) How do subverters and the other support cruiser work? I have a feeling that Subverters might be awesome, but I don't actually know what they do. The ingame description is rather vague.

3) Which Vasari capital ships conplement their fleet the best? All of their capital ships seem to be ok, but none stand out - except for the Evacuator, which is awesome. The Marauder seems cool, but I can't seem to get it's abillities to work as well as I think they might.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

1) Workhorse ships are Assailants and Enforcers, depending on what you are fighting and whether it is early / late game.

2) Subverters are currently awesome, you research distortion field and a Subverter can temporarily paralyze enemy ships in a small area of effect. If you bring enough subverters, you can effectively "lock down" a fleet of ships, provided they are all clustered. This is handy, because you are usually pretty outnumbered by late game, unless your enemies can't prevent you from getting Returning Armada.

3) Vasari ships are tough individually, but don't complement the fleet as much as Advent. The carrier has an AoE repair cloud that is handy, and the Marauder gives you some options to move faster or establish phase lanes into enemy space. The Kortul Battleship gets a level 6 Nanite Cloud that can allow your fleet to do a lot of damage to a cluster of enemy frigates. Otherwise, your caps are powerful support ships that you want to safeguard. The best Vasari caps are not really fleet synergistic.

The Vasari cap ships IMO are geared more for anti-cap ship then anything else. The Kortul is a good example of this. Power Surge (which is very underestimated) ups the DPS and shield Regen rate which is nice when your Kortul is facing off with a Kol or any other cap ship. Disruptive Strikes is okay but the buff should make it nasty as every attack will have chance to leech 30 antimatter and increase thier Cooldowns rates by 40%.

The main weakness of the Vasari IMO is thier economy.

I play as the Vasari so a good idea would b 2 build mostly assailants and enforcers,
possibly sentinels, especially if ur enemy is making strikecraft. The sunverter is very
good because it weakens enemy shields and increases the chance of phase missiles getting through. This makes it a very powerful support ship for assailants and sentinels
