How do I watch replays?

Can someone explain step-by-step how to download a replay and watch it? Do I to put it in a certain folder? What do I do in-game?

If you look in the following location on your machine....

Vista:
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

(Please note that some of these directories are hidden by default. To unhide them, go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View and set yourself to view hidden files and folders.)


....There should be four different replay folders there. (Record-Multiplayer, Record-Singleplayer, etc). Simply put the .record file you've downloaded in one of them (which one only determines what page it shows on in game, so it isn't too important).

Once in game, simply go to the Watch option in the single player menu and you'll have a list of replays. Click the button at bottom to change categories until you find the one where you just put the file, and away you go.
