Desktop Background Issues

Impulse/MyColors?

I recently installed Impulse and along with Sins of a Solar Empire there came a My Colors SOASE skin. When I applied the skin, the desktop background was moved down and to the left and no longer matched my resolution of 1280x1024. Even after reapplying the standard Windows XP skin the background no longer matched. Any advice on how to fix this?

Get a new monitor.

Seriously, try applying a new background and see if does the same thing.

I have tried new backgrounds and it does the same thing.

And actually... I did get a new monitor and it also has the same error.

Here are some images if it helps at all...

Have you tried setting the background image to stretch to fit the montor?

Yes, the bottom image is with the image set to stretch. The middle image is with it set to center.

I tried uninstalling MyColors both from the Control Panel and from Impulse and I rebooted but I still have the same problem. Any other advice?
