Memory Issue?

I finally got the game from circuitcity.com, after waiting for the stores to get them around here and they never did.

So I get the game and I click install when I put the CD in, and it says I dont have 512 MB of memory, but on the front of my laptop it says 512 MB system memory.

Is there anything I can do to play this game?

I did the start-run-dxdiag thing and it said I have 502 mb ram, page file of 625 mb used.

Well, 502 is less than 512.

I agree that it's best to get more ram. 

If you can't right now, I've seen people reporting here on the forums that although they do have 512 MB of ram, since they have an integrated video card it uses a small amount of it, 8-10 MB usually.  So when the installer from the retail PM2008 disc goes to install, it thinks that you don't have enough ram.

A reported work-around is to just skip the disc installer and use our digital downloader, Impulse, to download and install the game.  You can get Impulse from this website.  Besides, you'll want to have Impulse to get updates to the game anyway.
